The End of Summer
My beach bum days are over for another year. (sigh)
It’s time to put the kayak under the deck where it will stay protected until next spring.
Today I’ll put the beach towels and deck furniture in storage for the winter.
I have to replace my flip flops and summer garb with warm hoodies and winter boots.
I had a great summer and I’m looking forward to many more.
I hope you did too.

Ahh… sounds like nice days you’ve spent. It’s definitely changing seasons in Scotland. Have had to de-ice the car the last few days… hope that’s not a sign of things to come!
it isn’t quite that cold here in Boston yet but it’s coming.
Boston? Wow, lovely place to live – especially in the fall! đ
a sad day then the flip/flops retire for the season!
yes it is. I always keep one pair in the closet. It might come in handy even in the winter.
It was a wet summer here in UK, but still managed to enjoy it. Sounds like yours was great đ
Yes I saw a lot about the rain and floods on the news here.
You Easterners are making me feel the cold winds heading my way.
Last winter not even an inch of snow in Boston so we might make up for it this year. I hope not.
We should be coming into summer here in Australia – but it’s been snowing the last two days! đŚ
maybe it’s the last snow of the year. summer coming…lucky you.
I won’t like this post
for the simple reason
I don’t like it when
the summer ends
Flip-flops and painted nails
stay with me even if the sun
hides between cotton socks
and fluffy blankets
Because winter doesn’t
hold the charm of love
neither the dance of snow
can swirl hope in the cold night …
I totally feel you with this. thanks so much for sharing with me.
