My Rant

If adults act like children why not treat them like children?

Temper tantrums are so unattractive.

Some days I want to yell “shut the hell up and go to your time out corner.”

My Silly Life

Good morning and happy Sunday. Today I’m coming out of the closet to introduce and reveal myself.

Who is behind Karmic Diva? Is she real? Yes, KD is as real as I am.

I took some photos this week of Plymouth Harbor.  I love to spend time here in the summer.

Plymouth Rock Monument is in the lower left corner. It was built to represent the landing of the Pilgrims here in 1620.

This is a close-up of the harbor behind Plymouth Rock.

This is a view to the left of Plymouth Rock. In the background are several restaurants, clam shacks and the wharf where fishing boats are docked.

I decided not to leave my photo posted. Thanks for stopping by and peeking.

My Evil Kitty

So there you have it…a  peek into the silly life of Karmic Diva.

If you want to know more about me, read my page “100 Things About Me.”

It pays to be fearless.  Love to you all…Karm

Bagged and Tagged

Dear Miss Katykins at beforeiforget

There’s no challenge too big for the diva!  You tagged me so I’m going to play. I loved reading the answers to your questions, and quite liked the questions you asked me.

Here are the game rules:
Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post
Create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged
Tag (eleven) people with a link to your post
Let them know they’ve been tagged

1. What is your favourite ice-cream flavour and why? I’m a chocolate addict so anything with chocolate works for me

2. Do blondes really have more fun? I’ve never been a blonde but I still have fun

3. What is the weirdest dream that you remembering having? (I’m talking sleepy dream here.) Once I was chased by a tiger and I had to fly to get away from it

4. Did you grow to become/do what you always dreamed of as a child? If not, why not? I never became a rock star like I wanted to for obvious reasons (you don’t want to hear me sing)

5. What is the most annoying fad that you’ve ever succumbed to?  I had a Joan Jett haircut in the early 80’s and it looked ridiculous on me

6. If you could steal someone’s identity for a day, who would you be and what you would you do as them?  I would love to be superman for a day. With all his superpowers it would be exhausting but I think I could do it.

7. Where would you most and least like to visit in the world? My first choice is London and Paris. My last choice is Afghanistan.

8. What, in your opinion, is one of the best/most useful inventions ever and why? The printing press and the internet are equally amazing inventions. Ironically, the printing press gave the world books and the internet made them nearly obsolete

9. If you could be any other species, what would you hope to be? I would love to be a cat

10  If you could see one music act dead or alive, back stage, first class treatment, who would it be and where and why?  David Bowie anywhere, anytime. It would be a thrill to meet him

11. Do you have any superstitions? I was sure my rabbit’s foot would bring me good luck.  It’s bad luck to open an umbrella in the house. Garlic keeps vampires away.

+++++++++++++

These are my questions for you to answer.

1. What is the name of your generation (X, Y, baby boomer)?

2. What is worse, a broken heart or death?

3. Describe a pet peeve of yours.

4. Describe something in the past you regret.

5. If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life what food would you choose?

6. What is your favorite holiday?

7. What do you like to do in your free time?

8. Do you prefer coffee or tea or something else?

9.  Name some things that scare you.

10. Name items you love to shop for.

11.  Would you change your sex for a day?  Why?

+++++++++++++

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for.  Who is tagged next?

I have a lot of new followers that I haven’t had a chance to get to know yet.  I’ll work on a list and notify the 11 lucky bloggers as soon as it’s ready.  All my best to you Miss Katykins.  Thanks.

It’s summer here in New England  and the fun has begun.  I’m sure I can come up with 7 things I love about summer.

1.  I love ocean kayaking. This is my 3rd season and it gets more fun and exciting every year.

2.  I’m a beach bum from May to September. On sunny days nothing prevents me from reading a good book, or scribbling and doodling silly rants in the comfort of my beach chair.

3. Ice cream cones at a roadside stand are my favorite summer treat.  yum, yum, lick, lick!

4.  My charcoal grill is better than a gas grill. I haven’t used it yet this year because hornets beat me to it and have a fairly daunting nest inside it.

5. I like taking the train to Boston to spend time shopping and wandering around the city.

6.  Gardening is my passion and takes up a lot of my free time.

7. I belong to a local art guild and love it when summer tourists visit our gallery.

Well, that wasn’t difficult at all.  Now for the best part…sharing this award with some of you, or maybe all of you.

Rather than select 15 fellow bloggers I’m going  let you decide if you’d like to have this award.   You all deserve it.  I nominate YOU for the Versatile Blogger Award.  I hope you’ll play.

Love to all…Karm

My Big Day

This is a big day for me ladies and gents!

Anwar at Her Favorite Juice is the first fellow blogger to invite me to be a guest blogger.  I was really flattered to be invited and wanted to write something his readers could relate to. There was nothing daunting about it.  It was a lot of fun.  I’m still a rookie at dating but I know men and that’s one thing I can think about and write about for hours. I hope you stop by to read it.  Enjoy!

Lyrics translated in English :

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

It pays to be fearless.  Love to you all…Karm
